Grateful to DWP for inviting Looprun In Store and our Come and See events division to the DWP Arsenal Recruitment & Skills Event, Career Fair at Brent Cross Shopping Centre and Barnet Job Centres 18-24 year olds.
Sustainable Volunteers waiting your sponsorship
We had an amazing total outcome of 134 individuals signing up to become a Sustainable Volunteer. So that they can pick up food donations locally to distribute to other people in need in the community and sustain themselves at the same time. Also gain a reference to enhance their CV and employability.
The food distribution is a free and confidential service through Looprun In Store a response service that is part of a social enterprise helping people to get back on their feet.
Individuals can also volunteer at our Come and See events being held in leisure centre, community halls, stadiums, shopping centres, council and local authority sites.
About Come and See
The Come and See event is where families and individuals in need attend a free event to access refreshments, snacks, fruits, non perishable food items, toiletries, new clothing and gifts. Also signposted to become sustainable volunteers creating a community of building back sustainably.
You are invited
At CSR Way we are inviting employees and businesses to be part of this sustainable story.
What the volunteering involves?
What we need is only 2 hours of time to manage the refreshment table and meet and greet attendees.
Every volunteer starter pack order gives back
How?
- Helps to sponsor a community or student on the sustainable volunteering waiting list. Individuals who are currently studying, or on benefits. They will receive a hi-vis vest and get access to the training and booking portal. Including supportive services.
- A food donation point in the community so that sustainable donations can be raised ongoing
- Come and See event distribution logistics to reach the real need in a fun and enjoyable way.
- A contribution to the gift fund to a volunteer that would like to start up their own ecommerce shop.
The CSR Way
On average every volunteer helps with 480kg of surplus food avoiding landfills annually and can help contribute towards your net zero.
